Holiday Reflections and Excitement for 2025

The holiday season is a time of joy, gratitude, and connection. It’s when we pause to reflect on the year that’s passed and look forward with hope and excitement for what lies ahead. At Mothers to Daughters, this season embodies everything we stand for: the power of relationships, the importance of lessons learned, and the joy of shared moments.

When we asked our team what excites them most about the holidays, their responses were as thoughtful as they were inspiring. Our founder and CEO, Francine Mbvoumbo, shared her perspective: “This season is about reflecting on the lessons of 2024 and deciding what to carry into 2025. It’s been a year of growth, resilience, and innovation. Now, I want to focus on fostering what truly matters and letting go of what no longer serves us.” Francine’s words remind us of the importance of mindfulness and intentionality as we prepare for a fresh start in the new year.

For Alexis Prieto, our Director of HR Strategy and Member Experience, the holidays are defined by what she calls her “3 favorite F-words: Friends, Family, and Food.” Alexis shared, “The holidays are my favorite time to connect with loved ones over a great meal, share laughter, and create lasting memories. It’s a season of warmth and joy that keeps me grounded.”

As for me, I’m looking forward to the beauty of quiet moments this holiday season—wrapping gifts, sipping a warm cup of hot chocolate, and reflecting on the small victories of the year. It’s these calm, simple moments that remind me how much there is to be thankful for and help me recharge for the year ahead.

This season is more than lights, music, and gifts; it’s a reminder of the values that guide us throughout the year. It’s about community, celebrating the bonds that bring us closer, and showing appreciation for the people who make a difference in our lives. Whether it’s a heartfelt conversation, an unexpected act of kindness, or simply being present, these small but meaningful moments embody the true spirit of the holidays.
